Stage One
Hobo Cheese Co. is a family-run dairy farm in Tunnel Hill, GA. They asked us to lead a complete rebrand in 2022.
We wanted the visual identity to feel home-grown and warm-hearted, reflecting their traditional production methods and craft of farming and cheesemaking. We created several marks to be used in various ways across collateral.
We brought in a writer, photographer, and illustrator to help us create a comprehensive identity including messaging, farm photo shoots, and an illustration style that would work across physical and digital designs.

Cheesy (in the best way)
At Hobo Cheese Co., we sound…
Homegrown
Plain-spoken. Down-to-earth. Nostalgic. Neighborly.
We write like we speak and sound like where we come from: A young—and growing—family-run dairy farm just outside the big city (actually, two big cities—Atlanta GA and Chattanooga, TN).
Warm-hearted
Sunny. Sincere. Grounding. Caring.
You can taste the love, care, and goodness that goes into every batch, see it in all we do, and hear it in what we say.
Science-minded
Curious. Diligent. Inventive. Passionate.
Testing soil. Culturing bacteria. Tracking the protein concentrations in our herd’s milk (X% higher than the average cow’s)... We nerd out on this stuff, and we gladly, freely share our knowledge—and our enthusiasm—with anyone who asks.
Cheesy ( just a pinch!)
Playful. Witty. Charming. Unpretentious.
We take our craft seriously. Ourselves? Not so much. Every day, we find fresh delight in our work and our world. Making cheese makes us happy. We like to spread it around.
Stage Two
We produced a full stationery suite including, business cards, note cards, stickers, envelopes, and a batch-numbering stamp. We also created new cheese labels, and a marketing banner, and developed a fresh new website.
Stage Three
We continue to help Hobo Cheese Co. with their design needs as they continue to expand their operation and produce new cheeses.
